Finally upgraded

I finally got around to upgrading the site to Plone 2.1.2 - but not without a minor casualty.

The upgrade went more smoothly than I thought it would. My main concern was with a client's project site that I have running on the same Zope instance as N&W, but so far so good.

The only downside is that my customized Plubrick theme fell apart. Although that's not really a downside.. that Kubrick look is so last year. I do get a lot of email requests for an updated version that will work with the latest version of Plone, so I guess someone still likes it. One guy even wrote an in-depth article on how the header works. I think he put more thought into that article than I did into the theme itself. I just kinda fiddled with stuff until it looked right.

At any rate, there still seems to be enough interest in Plubrick to justify updating it, so I'll guess I'll move that up in the queue. After that, it's on to P2, a port of Kubrick's successor, K2.

I'll likely be installing some Actual Weblog Software here soon, after I evaluate what's out there for Plone. There are a few more options than there were when I first started this site. Hopefully, things have improved since then!
